A wireless stills camera trap with two off-camera flashes. Both flashes are powered and triggered by one external battery and receiver. Connections are made via waterproof cables.

The system shown in this diagram is a hybrid wired/wireless stills camera trap with two off-camera flashes.

The two Camtraptions flashes receive both power and ‘shoot’ signals through the waterproof cables, which are connected to a single external battery and Wireless Receiver contained within a waterproof battery enclosure.

This setup could be particularly useful if the flashes are mounted in a hard-to-reach location or when you need to minimise the weight of equipment mounted with the flashes themselves. It also means that the flashes do not need to be disturbed whenever the batteries are changed.

This diagram shows a Canon camera being used, however, the same setup can easily be created with other camera brands such as Nikon, Sony, Fuji and Olympus etc. In these cases, you would just need to make sure to choose the correct camera connecting cable for the chosen camera.
