A wireless stills camera trap with a single off-camera flash. The flash is powered by an external enclosed battery and connected via waterproof cables.
This diagram shows a wireless stills camera trap, where the Camtraptions Z2 flash and its Wireless Receiver are both powered by a separate external flash battery contained within its own waterproof battery enclosure.
This could be particularly useful if the flash is mounted in a hard-to-reach location or when you need to minimise the weight of equipment mounted with the flash itself. It also means that the flash does not need to be disturbed whenever the battery is changed.
This diagram shows a Canon camera being used, however, the same setup can easily be created with other camera brands such as Nikon, Sony, Fuji and Olympus etc. In these cases, you would just need to make sure to choose the correct camera connecting cable for the chosen camera.
