Camera Housings
When you’re deploying a camera in the wild, you need gear you can trust. From rainforests to deserts, our Camera Housings have been tested and proven by photographers and conservation teams working in some of the world’s toughest environments. Fully weather-sealed and built for long-term reliability, they protect your equipment from rain, humidity, dust and curious wildlife, giving you peace of mind that your camera will be ready when it matters most.
What Our Housings Offer
Weather-Sealed Protection
The Housing is built from a strong, moulded plastic enclosure with robust weather-proof seals. It stands up to rain and high humidity and is crafted to fit a wide range of camera and lens combinations (from compact up to full-sized pro DSLRs) while giving you quick access when you need it.
The housing incorporates a pressure-equalisation gland that allows air pressure to stabilise while blocking moisture. This prevents humid air from being drawn inside during temperature changes and helps maintain long-term weather resistance.
Modular Lens Tube System
We include our innovative Stacking Tube System, which allows you to accommodate different lens lengths without compromising the seal. The same housing works for a short zoom or a long telephoto: simply add tubes accordingly.
Accessible & Flexible Design
We’ve thought about how you’ll work in the field:
- Back door on the housing with quick-release catches for fast access to batteries & memory cards.
- Dual tripod sockets (on the bottom + side) let you mount in landscape or portrait orientation — and lock the housing down so your composition won’t shift.
- The large sun/rain hood over the lens tube helps your view stay clean and unobstructed.
Compatibility & Expandability
- Fits compact, mirrorless or full-frame DSLRs (up to pro bodies, e.g., Canon 1D X or Nikon D5 with wireless transmitter).
- For mirrorless and smaller DSLR setups, the housing provides space beneath the camera for additional batteries, making it ideal for extended long-term deployments.
- Fully compatible with our Metal Camera Housing Cage (for when physical protection is as critical as weather-sealing).
- Designed for both wired and wireless setups: optional pre-drilled holes available for waterproof cable systems.
Which Version Is Right For You?
Weather-Sealed Camera Housing
A tough, weather-sealed enclosure designed to keep your camera protected during long-term remote deployments. It shields your gear from rain, humidity, dust and curious wildlife, while offering quick access for batteries and memory cards. Compatible with a wide range of cameras and lenses, it’s a dependable choice for camera traps, time-lapse projects and any situation where your camera needs to stay out in the elements and keep performing. Dual tripod sockets on the bottom and side of the housing allow you to mount the camera in landscape or portrait orientation.
Metal Camera Housing
A heavy-duty steel cage that fits securely around the Weather-Sealed Camera Housing to provide maximum physical protection. Ideal for environments where equipment may be knocked, bumped or tampered with, it adds an extra layer of security while maintaining full weather-sealing. The cage also offers numerous additional mounting and securing points, giving you far more flexibility in how you position and anchor your setup during long-term deployments. Perfect for high-risk locations, wildlife-dense areas or long-term deployments where extra durability gives you total peace of mind.
Accessories & Add-Ons
Moisture-Absorbing Packs
Even with a fully sealed housing, small amounts of humidity can enter when you open the door to change batteries or memory cards in the field. Our individually sealed moisture-absorbing packs help remove this residual humidity and reduce the risk of internal condensation during long deployments. They’re compact, easy to replace and an essential addition for reliable performance in damp or unpredictable environments.
Heated Window Housing (Anti-Fog / Anti-Condensation)
For particularly humid or cold environments where lens fogging is a concern, the Heated Window provides active protection against condensation forming on the front glass. A slim, low-power heating element gently warms the window to keep it clear, ensuring your camera always has an unobstructed view. It’s ideal for cold mornings and any location where moisture buildup is common.
Stacking Tube System
Our modular stacking tube system allows you to adapt the housing to different lens lengths quickly and securely. Each tube section connects seamlessly, letting you build exactly the right extension for your chosen lens while maintaining the housing’s full weather seal and front-window alignment.
Jungle Mounts Compatibility
The camera housing features dual tripod sockets and a row of 40 mm mounting holes on its base and side, designed to integrate seamlessly with our Jungle Mounts system. This allows you to secure the housing to a tripod, tree mount or ground rig with exceptional stability. Whether you’re using the tripod configuration or the tree-pod setup, the mounting points give you maximum flexibility for positioning and anchoring your camera in challenging terrain.
Spare Glass Windows
Replacement front windows are available for the housing, allowing you to swap out the glass if it becomes scratched or damaged during fieldwork. Each window is made from high-quality optical glass to ensure maximum clarity and image performance.
Field Proven Reliability
Our Camera Housings are built on years of field experience and refined through real-world use in some of the toughest environments on Earth. When your camera is left unattended in the wild, you need equipment you can trust — durable, weather-sealed and proven by practitioners who depend on it themselves.
