2. Dual-Sensor Precision & Flexible Detection Zones
The PIR v4 features two independent PIR sensors — Wide and Far — each optimised for different scenarios.
Far Sensor (≈10°)
- Long-range detection up to 20 metres
- Beam-like field of view, perfect for precise compositions
Wide Sensor (≈60°)
- Broader detection zone
- Useful for early detection of animals approaching from the side
- Can wake equipment before the Far sensor triggers the shutter
New algorithms and customisable settings deliver improved resistance to false triggers — even in hot and windy environments.

The PIR v4 integrates seamlessly with both DSLR and mirrorless systems and now offers:

- NP-F lithium-ion batteries (months of standby), cost-effective and widely available
- AA adapter — power with 6× AA batteries like the v3

You can now install firmware updates directly from a microSD card — ensuring easy access to new features, improvements, and bug fixes.
