NP-F batteries come in several sizes and capacities. In general, higher numbers mean higher capacity:

NP-F550: Compact and lightweight — ideal when minimising size and weight is the priority.

NP-F970: The highest-capacity choice, perfect for long-term deployments or powering multiple devices from a single battery.

Note: The PIR v4 is compatible with NP-F batteries up to the size of an NP-F970 and with a maximum height of 60mm. Some third-party manufacturers produce NP-F batteries with built-in USB-charging ports that exceed this height and will not fit inside the sensor.

These adapters offer simple, highly efficient power delivery: they pass through the native NP-F output, making them ideal for devices designed to run directly from 7.2V lithium-ion battery systems—the same voltage NP-F batteries are intended to replace. Available in both single-output and multi-output versions, they allow you to power one or multiple devices from a single battery. The multi-output version also includes a regulated 3V output specifically for powering Camtraptions wireless triggers. This rugged, streamlined design keeps your power system reliable, versatile and perfectly suited to long-term camera-trap deployments.

If you prefer not to use lithium-ion batteries, or need a backup solution when recharging isn’t possible, we also offer an NP-F to AA Battery Adapter. This allows you to use six standard AA batteries in place of an NP-F pack.
